KSU vs. Wofford: Preview and How to Watch

The Kennesaw State Owls are coming home. After being on the road for the first two games of the season and having last week off, KSU begins the home part of the football schedule on Saturday against Wofford. The Owls are in need of a win as they are 0-2, which is the first time in school history they have lost their first two games of the season. The losses and not playing last week led to KSU falling out of the rankings after starting the season ranked in the top 10.

So far this season, the Owls are having issues getting points on the board, averaging 13.5 points per game. And the running game has not been up to par as the Owls have averaged just 167.5 yards per contest. Two games are a small sample size, but head coach Brian Bohannon believes something had to change and named Jonathan Murphy as the new starting quarterback over preseason All-American Xavier Shepherd. Murphy has his share of experience at QB, playing in 14 games in 2019. The best game in his came in 2019 when he rushed for 209 yards and three touchdowns in a playoff game against Wofford.

KSU has played Wofford three times in its history and has won all three meetings. Two of those games were playoff matchups (2018 and 2019), and the previous meeting was last fall and the Owls win 31-10. Wofford is not off to a strong start this year, posting an 0-3 record and scoring just seven points in those three games.
