13 Owls Selected to All-Big South Teams

The Kennesaw State Owls are not competing in the FCS playoffs, but 13 players were recognized for their work on and off the field during the 2021 spring season. This week, 13 Owls earned All-Big South honors after the team finished the year with a 4-1 record. Three players earned first-team honors and 10 grabbed second-team honors, while linebacker Bryson Armstrong was named Defensive Player of the Year. Additionally, William Nana Fabu was selected to the All-Academic Team.

Armstrong, Offensive lineman Jake Lassiter and Kicker Nathan Robertson were named to the first team. For Amrstrong, it’s the second consecutive season he has been named Defensive Player of the Year. He finished the 2021 spring season with 36 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and one interception returned for a touchdown in five games.

With the season being over, the Owls will focus on the fall 2021 season, which will begin on September 4. Some of the opponents KSU will face this fall are Wofford, Jacksonville State and Georgia Tech.
