Deland Fl. – The Owls head south to Deland Florida to compete in the ASUN baseball championship as the #5 seed. The games will be played at Melching Field at Conrad Park May 24th through May 28th.
Kennesaw State returns to the ASUN Championships for the seventh consecutive season, dating back to 2011 when it made its first appearance in the field. The Owls drew a No. 5 seed going 10-11 overall in ASUN Conference play and opens the tournament against No. 2 seed Stetson at Melching Field. The opening-round game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on ESPN3.
The Owls are batting .283, outhitting opponents 516-473, and have compiled 96 doubles, nine triples and 55 home runs. KSU’s 55 home runs is the third-highest total for a single season in program history with the most being 69 set in 2009.
