Former Kennesaw State defensive lineman Auzoyah Alufohai signed a free-agent contract with the Houston Texas shortly after the NFL Draft on Saturday, the school announced. Alufohai was a member of the original signing class at Kennesaw State and took part in the practice season before playing in 32 games in three seasons.
In 2018, the Alpharetta, Georgia native suffered a season-ending injury. It led to him finishing his college career at West Georgia as he was denied another year of eligibility at the FCS level. He earned Division II All-America honorable mention honors and an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Bowl.
In his career at Kennesaw State, Alufohai recorded 47 tackles, three tackles for loss, and 0.5 sacks. Last season at West Georgia, the Houston Texans defensive lineman notched 31 tackles, four tackles for loss, and two sacks.
