KSU at Kent State: Preview, How to Watch

It’s Week Two for the Kennesaw State Owls and they will face Kent State in Kent, Ohio this afternoon. This will be the second FBS opponent the Owls will face as they took on Georgia State in the 2018 season opener. Georgia State was able to come away with a 24-20 win.

Last week, the Owls recorded 433 rushing yards in a 59-0 rout against Point. It was the sixth shutout in Owls history and it’s no other school in the FCS and FBS had more rushing yards than KSU. Since the start of the 2017 season, the Owls have won 24 of its last 27 games.

So the Owls will be ready to face Kent State despite being the underdog. The Golden Flashes are looking for their first win of the year as they lost to Arizona State last week 30-7. Kent State has had its share of struggles, winning only two games last year and recording only two winning seasons since 2001.

And when it comes to facing FCS opponents, Kent State has fallen short in 11 of those games including five times in the last 25 years. The last time the Golden Flashes lost to A&T came away with a 39-36 win in four overtimes. So we are going to be in for a very interesting contest.
